The Mausoleum of Mohammed V was completed in 1971. The building of the Mausoleum was commissioned by Mohammed V's son, Hassan II. The mausoleum was constructed to be a burial place for Mohammed V.Interesting facts and features include the following:
- King Mohammed V is buried in this mausoleum alongside his two sons, King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah.
- The interior of the mausoleum is lavishly developed due to the work of a Vietnamese architect.
- It is both a tomb and a mosque.
